Library users
The Library serves the academic community and every citizen who studies the Art of Theatre.
The Department’s student should be registered to the Library System before using their Academic Identity Card for loan all over the AUTH’s Libraries.
Other members of the academic community may use the library by presenting their Academic Identity Card (students) or their Library Card (faculty and personnel).
Non academic users should present a valid ID and a recent photo in order to obtain a Library Card. Fees may apply.
Library loans
Loan of library material is for personal use only, following the AUTH Library Regulation (https://www.lib.auth.gr/node/167/#article4). A valid Academic Identity or Library Card is always required.
The Library collection is divided to three categories: loanable, restricted loan, non loanable.
Users should return all items borrowed prior to the expiration date. According with the Library Regulation, article 4, paragraph 4.3, there are fines for overdue items. Renewal by phone is available only before the expiration date.
Reference material, rare books and theatrical programmes are available only for in-library use; other non-loanable items are available for intra-daily loan.
