Theatrologist, former assistant professor at the Department of Theatre of the School of Fine Arts, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. From September 2019, she was appointed director of studies at the Drama School of the National Theatre of Greece. A graduate of the Department of Theatre Studies of the University of Paris III – New Sorbonne. She completed her doctoral thesis at the Philology Department of the Faculty of Philosophy of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, on the topic “Greek Stage and the Theatre of History, 1936-1944: The Institutions and the Forms” (2003).

Her research interests include: the terms of the modern in theatre, the dialogue between Greek and European stage, the stage interpretation of ancient drama, the theatre for children and adolescents. She has published studies in Greece and France and has edited theatre publications. She has also regularly participated in presentations at theatrology conferences and in European transnational projects, research groups and forums.

She has been an artistic programming consultant at the Athens Epidaurus Festival (2006-15), scientific director of the workshop on ancient drama “Summer Oracle” (2018, 2019). She is a theatre critic, dramaturgy consultant, exhibition curator, and presenter of a TV series on contemporary theatre (Theorium) and of theatrical radio broadcasts. Her activities also include curation of stage design, public speeches and interviews.

She has published theatre reviews, pamphlets, articles, interviews, book reviews, tributes and critical assessment in various newspapers such as Epochi, Ethnos, Avgi (“Enthemata”), Kathimerini (“Seven Days”), Eleftherotypia (“Library”), Imerissia, Ta Nea, and in the magazines O Politis, Anti, Nea Estia, The Books’ Journal.

She is a founding member of the Hellenic Theatre Centre for Children and Young People (an affiliate of ASSITEJ) and the Hellenic Union of Theatre and Performing Arts Critics. She has participated in advisory committees of the Ministry of Culture. She is a member of the jury of the Melina Merkouri Theatrical Prize and of the ‘Europe Prize Theatrical Realities’ award.
